I don't have space for a regular size case any more, otherwise I won't be rebuilding this Shuttle.

It's just twice the bandwidth. It allows more information to travel at a quicker rate. That's pretty much the most watered version I can think of.

what is the size of the board will the pcie slot line up with expansion slot on the back of the case or is a miniatx

Its smaller than mini atx, i don't even know if they have a name for it.
