no i am running regular 32-bit home premium sp1

There you go. 32-bit can't detect 4GB of RAM. How much memory does your video card use?

Here's my guess of what is going on. You have 4GB of memory. Your video card is using 1GB. You have 3GB left. Thus the 2.75. Windows is probably off. I don't know. That's my guess.
