L lhuser Golden Master Messages 13,147 Aug 8, 2008 #17 They don't have 8. It's 4, plus Hyper-Threading. Remember the P4 3.0 HT? That had "two" cores. The second was Hyper-Threading. It can handle two threads per core, so basically, it's the same, just with 4 cores instead of 1.
