Vista and XP Pro Networking Problems

I have two desktops and two laptops which have been networked together. The two laptops and one of the desktops run Vista Ultimate, while one of the desktops runs XP Pro. Both laptops can detect the desktops and share files/printers, however, the desktops can not share with each other. The XP desktop shows up on the Vista network map, but the two computers can not share files/printers. How can I solve this problem

did you run windows network setup? If that doesn't work try turning off the firewall on the XP and then seeing if it works. If it does then you need to configure your firewall. Running the windows network setup should configure your firewall to allow file sharing if you enable file sharing during the setup
