Whats better Gentoo of Fedora Core???

Hey, im wondering which would be better?
I'm a fairly/not so fairly experienced linux user (ive been trying linux for 1 year)
and i was wondering which should i use? like i heard that Fedora core is very Bleeding edge but not too stable and that Gentoo can be bleeding edge or as stable as a rock (can any one confirm this). but yea i would just like to know which is better?

I say Fedora is better. Gentoo is decent, but plain.
