Blurry Text every other line in Vista

I just got a new computer, and i cant figure out why the text is blurry. Like every other line of text is blurry on my new computer....its really wierd. i have vista, and a nividia 8800 gtx graphics card, on the intel 2.4 ghz quad core. any help would be greatly appreciated.

its like that on everything- its really annoying trying to write papers

i changed the resolution from 1680 x 1050 (its native resolution) to 1440 x 900 and the text doesnt appear blurry anymore....kinda wierd.
