New Speakers!!

Personally I don't see the need for 5.1 speakers. I don't have the money nor the space for them. 2.1 is good enough, or better yet, a nice set of comfy and great sounding headphones.

Ew. Creative makes good sound cards, but their drivers suck. It takes them forever just to patch things.

Try Auzentech. Their Auzen X-Fi Prelude soundcard uses the same X-Fi chipset and technology but the drivers are WAYYY better than Creatives. Turtle Beach is decent for the price.

Yeah. Before it was ATI with their drivers, but they've definately stepped up with their Catalyst drivers. NVIDIA has good video cards but the Forceware drivers suck now. The last great Forceware driver was the Forceware 66.93 drivers.
