Here are some of the coded notes that English doctors put on sick notes of patients who they suspect of "pulling a sicky" [source, Daily Mail]


PIP; Pyjama induced paralysis

UBI; Unexplained beer injury

GOK; God only knows

LOBNH; Lights on but nobody home

FFDIG; Found face down in gutter

DTS ; Danger to shipping [obese]

There are also terms for medical occupations;

Pecker checker; [Urologist]

Gasman; [Aneasthetist]

Freud Squad; [Psychiatry]

Yeah, I know it all too well, they were coming out of the woodwork when my wife was fighting cancer, in English hospitals they are all males as far as I know, & it takes quite some time to qualify.
