At a local model shop, I saw a really tiny model helicopter in the window, & I mean really tiny, about six inches in length, I went in & asked the guy who ran the shop about it, he said he'd demonstrate it for me, I said I was just interested, he got it out the window & put it on the counter, he said pick it up, I did, it was as light as a feather, cleverly made, the body was made of polystyrene covered with a thin, brightly coloured plastic shell with logos, a flimsy undercarriage, bendy plastic four-blade rotor, I just stood there goggling at it, it weighed just over an ounce he said, including a high-performance disc battery, he said throw it ihigh in the air, so I did, it nearly touched the shop ceiling then tumbled towards the floor, then a foot above the floor, the rotors spun, it rose & landed gently back on the counter, he was controlling it with a remote, no levers, it was like a tv remote.
I'd never seen anything like it before, he said hold out your hand, it rose & landed in my cupped hand, then he reached over & threw it hard against the floor, then pointing the remote it twitched, righting itself with the rotors, took off & landed on the counter, £29.99, what a bargain, only for indoor use, but just think of the fun, I guess that some of you have seen something like this?, me, I was well impressed!
