Dos wont recognise any drives except for A: when i boot it with a boot flopy disk.

Sounds like you are booting from a floppy that doesn't have your disk controller drivers on it.

no you miss understood me, i cant even change to drive e: it only stays on drive a: i cant change to any other drive...

SirMille how would i create a disc with my driver controlls on it, and i dont think i can run xp 64 from dos as dos is only a 16, so i doubt they are competiable.

..and you cant boot using the xp cd and vista dvd. that cant be good. i really dont know

its really strange i just want to take it and sel it for parts now and get my self a normal machine, this crap has been giving me problams from day 1!!!
