urgent help needed!!!

hi guys,


disaster, my son decided it would be fun to format my c:/ drive in ms dos and now i dont know how to install windows xp ?

i have the cd but when i try and boot up form the cd (copy cd) it dosent seem to work i have the error invalid system disk

what do i dont i havent a clue on how to get to start installing windows!

please help

Ah, it's simple. You will need to go into the BIOS settings at boot up of the PC and go in the advanced Settings. From there, the FIRST boot device can be set to boot from hard drive or other drives. Select the CD/DVD drive 0 if you have more than two drives. All the 0 means is the first drive on the computer.

You need to go into the BIOS and change the boot order of your system so it boots from CD. You can enter the BIOS by tapping one of the following keys (it varies with different pc's) Del, F1, F2.

Sounds like the CD isnt bootable, is it a proper xp disc
