Internet connection sharing, limited or no co.....

i bought a usb to ethernet adaptor to take with me when i go to stay with family. i have installed the drivers on the main computer which they have the internet on. when i plug it in local area connection says connection on the computer at 100mb packets sent and are been recieved, i whent to the internet connection on here and right clicked and shared the connection, but i cannot get any internet on the laptop i am using, it says limited or no connectivity, on the properties of their broadband connection in the internet protocol everything is set to obtain auto apart from dns, i dont know if this is anything to do with it

You have to use ICS, you also have to leave the host pc on. I hope this is not dial up you are sharing

Make sure that you have disable your onboard nic and if you are wireless make sure thats disabled also
