Computer Freezing and Crashing

Lately my computer has been freezing alot and sometimes it just restarts. I have ran spyware and adware. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

I already defraged. What program can I use to clean my registry?

The freezing and crashing can be caused by many things. Have you installed any new hardware or software before this started? It could be overheating. How's the airflow through the case? Check the fans on the CPU and video card and blow out any dust with a can of air.

Well this has been happening for a couple months now and I have done alot since then. I am thinking about wiping my hard drive and starting over. The airflow is great and it doesn't look too dusty.
