Spybot and adaware run together can cause problems. They seem to think the other is spyware. Try uninstalling one (spybot first) and see if the problem goes away. I only run spybot but know that adaware is pretty good too.

Hmm ... from my experience, i've used the programs for quite a while and had no problems with them at all running them together ...
Anyhow, try boot in safe mode as someone noted earlier, then run all FULL scans with Ad Aware, Spybot Search And Destroy, Microsoft Anti Spyware, AVG and AntiVir ... the little trick where you type in 'msconfig' also helps abit

well really the only 2 programs that i've had fight eachother was avast! and ad-aware 6. i agree with what people have recommened and if all fail 2 suceed try a system restore...often times spyware will defeat that 2 but it's worth a try eh? only use it if u have to though
