Encryptian Help

Hey guys...

I wanted to test my security on windows XP recently but i've run into a problem. I don't know where to find my encrypted password hashes. Does anyone know where i can find them. I am testing my passwords with Jack The Ripper btw.

Well i found some software on a cd to enable me to view hashes but i was wondering if there was a way to view them manually?

note you can't do anything with the SAM file while the OS is running.

thx i actually while waiting for someone to answer found out you have to use a different OS to copy and do things with SAM. Another thing you can do is use software.
