hey, I recently clicked on my friend's link that said he had found a picture of me, so I clicked on it (even though I had a gut feeling not to) and now I am sending out IMs with the same message without my doing. I was wondering if anyone knows about this or knows how to get rid of it?

The File that was saved to my computer (saved to my desktop) has vanished after I double clicked it...

Anyhelp would be greatly greatly greatly appreciated.

Edit: I just ran Microsoft AntiSpyware and it did not find anything

Edit: I found the link for the virus

http://picture.Hosting4Friends.com/pics.php?file=551112.jpg

that is the address for the virus.

wow, NO ONE CLICK THAT LINK!

that is a high risk virus! not even Firefox can protect you. it automatically installs just by clicking the link. and don't even open exe file that is downloaded with it.

The virus is a modified version of W32.Allim
Here is Symantec's page:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.allim.a.html

(btw, i clicked that link, Norton automatically detected and removed it seconds after I did. also, this is my 666th post :D)
