First off i was wondering what would be the minimum speed i should have for a non laggy hosting for a online game (tac-ops)

second what would be the best way to hook up a network for more computers use a lan switcher from my modem or use a router?

use a router... switch doesn't share internet by default plus you dont get a hardware firewall... use a router ...

second for speeds .. im not sure of the game your talking about but get atleast a 1.5mbps connection... or if you want 768mbps DSL would prolly work just as good too.

shit now u reminded me why i leaned more toward the router, the firewall

reason why i was asking is that i was debating on
getting 1.5 mbs for 35 or getting 4mbs for 55

1.5 should really be fine... but its up to you... when i used to play CS online i had a 768kb and it ran smooth.. but then again i wasn't hosting i was just playing... but in actualality 1.5 should be fine to run as a host.
