Old Computer Help Needed

"the best way to solve the problem would be to insert a 3¼" floppy and copy the 5½" content on the 3¼" diskette."

IIRC, I think his computer only has 1 floppy drive. How would he copy onto the floppies, if he only has 1 drive, and no HD?

And yes, he paid about 5 thousand for the system back in '82 or so. In today's dollars, that's a lot!
He's not in position to set his store up with an entirely new system, even though it would be less expensive. It is much more preferable that he limp on with what he's got. He just needs a way of getting more startup floppies formatted.

Well, there was a time when computers had two different floppies, and files could be copied from one media to another. So there could be a possibility of changing the 5 and a half for a 3 and a quarter.

Im serious, couldnt you just get an old 5 1/2 drive plug it into a computer nowadays, and transfer the data to the hdd, and make boot sequence on startup, HDD first?
