Erm... best advise I can give you is not to use YaBB It really does put people off.

You can get some really cheap hosting, and a domain name and then you've got a really good site with phpBB... or even vBulletin like this if you put a little more into it on the start.

But with YaBB you won't get that many people finding it, and fewer bothering to join.

I think Yabb is good for opensource in this evil time, i suggest yabb forums for opensource and build a hidden secret site for your main site where you can carfully invite those you like . Yabb is good for exploration into the unknown in opensouce work, yabb can be replaced easy if there are troubles from others.......a main site can't be replaced easy on open source if thing go wrong.
