and given the privellage I would change mine so that I could stand out more.
All I was pointing out is the irony with all the moderators saying that regular users will never be allowed custom avatars because they will make the place look messy.
when given the privellage the first thing the mods do is changed their Perfectly good avatars, their reason being it helps them stand out and makes them more individual, which is exactly why the thread was started, people want their own avatars so they can stand out and become more individual.
As you stated those resons yourself I think you'll understand why some of the members here feel the perfectly good avatar range just isn't enough to be an individual on the forum.

I understand that the moderators can't be here to watch over every decision, but they are also not here to watch over every post,
Frankly I think my avatar is OK, and i'm the only one I've seen using it, but some avatar pop up again and again and again, now especially without signatures (which I'm not campaigning for), it can get confusing to read a conversation, you tend to associate an avatar with a user,
the range is very very limited, hence there are so many users with the same avatars.
So all of that in mind I understand that custom avatars will never happen to regular members, but what about increasing the range for us common members?
