screenshot, here, look. really :\

no, the menus that you see are standard, there is no start button as such, you just click on the desktop and can launch programs from there.
the tranparancy you see on the4 menus is a standard effect, the wall paper I assume i just a pictuer.
ad program he's using is called Wget, it's just a download client, -nothing special.

As a desktop it does look pretty cool, better than most windows desktop with about a fifth as much effort needed o be put in.

But as its just a picture, all you need do on Windows is edit the Desktop Wallpaper? Or are you talking about also the transparent menus?

perhaps changing the background will get the idea accross?

not just the transparent menus but the semi transparent windows as well.

though like I said this is just a standard feature.

I guess to implement the feature as a standard function on windows yes it would require source access -impossible or illegal.
or dissasemably and recompalation of the compilled binaries -completly illegal.
there are however tools out there that can do this for you. perfectly leagally.

Yeah; that is a point. But nhot as far as I know any that will make the Window Transparent! :D

That would be quite cool. Maybe all the features of the past 5 years in other OSs will be developed further in Longhorn and everybody will say: 'Linux what?' 'Mac what?' 'GNU!' and 'Bless you'
