Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
I am currently working on a project in creating either computers, laptops, or cases using carbon fiber. If anyone is interested in one of these either post here or PM me. Thanks!
[If there is something against the rules in this post please inform me, thanks] |

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
How much would a carbon fiber computer case cost? That'd be totally badass.

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
We're not exactly sure on the price yet but we know it will come nowhere close to the outrageous price of Ultra's $1000 carbon fiber case. It will be at a much more affordable price. I hope to have a price and pictures within seven days. Does that sound fine?

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
I just saw the Ultra cases, $1,999 for a full tower, but I saw the mid-tower for $699 on Tigerdirect. I'm afraid I wouldn't be getting one unless you gave it to me. A bit much for a pc case.

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
That would be a really interesting case. Carbon Fiber is supposed to be easy to paint and design on too no?

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
Haha Tommy we will certainly not be selling for those prices. A bit too much if you ask me.
And Joga, painting shouldn't be much different than a normal case but it will probably look quite a bit nicer on carbon fiber than a normal case. Last edited by CarbonFiberComp : April 23rd, 2009 at 02:19 AM. |

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
It really depends on what it costs you for supplies and all. I mean, most people look around $100-$150 when buying a case I would say, but this is a bit unique...

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
Yup, I know it depends on our building costs but I'm just seeing what people would be willing to pay for it.

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
I agree. Also depends on how long it takes for you guys to assemble it, how easy you can acquire parts, and how many you sell.

Re: Carbon Fiber Computers/Laptops/Cases
Are you making the parts with carbon fiber material and the epoxy and baking them? Or are you taking existing pc case parts and wrapping them with carbon fiber material?
