Question what do i write java in

well i've decided to begin some simple programming and i thought i'd try and learn java but what i want to know is what program do i write it in what i mean by that is like how you woulf write html in notepad or frontpage what program do i use to actually write java.

p.s any java language tutorial sites would be helpful as well

You can write J# in Visual Studio 2005 here.

you have to download the compiler and documetation from the SUN web site: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp and get the book begining programing with java(by: berry burd) it one of those dummies books, but its goot, i hope u have fun with java!!!! its cool

I program but i got really confused when i tried to learn java first....mayby i was just a little slow.

i dunno java was very easy to me i still cant get c++ down right, but java is like natral, i guess cuz it was my first. but biulding a gui with java is hard as crap. but text lines in dos its fine

i found a program called jcreator it looks ok but i'm not completeley sure how to use it ...any tips ?

C# is pretty easy. Easier and more obvious than Java with MSDN Library.

Never heard of it - sounds Open-Source and nasty.
