multiple dynamic pictures

Hello folks, i am producing asp pages that displays text items + images in a repeat region.
Not all items have a similar amount of images, and i want to avoid showing picturelinks to empty database fields?
The "hide region when fields are empty" behavior only works with full records?
How do i work around this?
