Coding Images to change

Ok so if you guys have seen pictures like this:

and other Halo 2 stats that auto-update and are images you can post, I want to know how you make those so you could have one for a gamercard:

you need to create the image using the gd tools, this can be done quite easily using PHP..

I have one in my signature on other forums to say how many units I've crunched in a distributed computing project. would have it here except signature images arn't allowed.

no, he's talking about creating a dynamic picture, like on that changes...
this picture (for instance) changes to reflect the IP addresses of the people browsing the forum.

don't worry, nobody else can see your address...

and in case that wasn't enough stuff to get you started there is a search engine built into the PHP site (www.php.net). which ties in with google...

As in I went to the php site and typed image into their search engine...
I can appreciate that you didn't have a clue where to start, but even googling for words you used in your own post churns up a lot of usefull stuff, combine that with the two important words from my post, (php gd) and it's practically giving you the code...

if i lefty bad feedback i am sry. I meant to leave good feedback cuz the post was actually helpful. Sorry about that.

But back to the code. Yah, this is gonna take a while cuz the text thing wouldn't be that hard, its the converting an html pahe to text is what i cant do/ find.

are your ststistics that you want to put onto the image already on the internet somewhere? perhaps on a central server?
