I'm thinking for a while now to redesign my site, and I've encountered with this site that deals with Software for mac OS and I thought maybe to make a similar design. what do you think?

It's clear the designers here have aimed to keep it clean looking and i think they've over done it a little. The site looks a little too bare in my opinion.
