Default A New start on the horizons of the CMS world

Over the years we have seen many many Content Management Systems coming into the market and competing with each other for a share in the pie.
All of them make huge promises of being most user friendly with wizards available for every thing.
Many of them are commercial ones, which are really very expensive and developer community has a natual aversion for such softwares Since open source community has come up with really nice and sophisticated CMS like joomla, drupal and to top it they are free to download and use.
But currently there is a fresh new CMS in the horizon which is creating new definitions in how easily a CMS could be used and this new wizard is zimplit

Hello David,

Why dont you visit this website www.zimplit.com and click on the "Take the Tour" link ?or if you have some free time in your hand you can download the
zimplit and fiddle with it.it is really very simple, you do not have to write a single line of code since it was developed keeping non programmers in mind.

Best Regards,
Vikky

In this demo page you link to Google images and make a couple of calls to some javascript. What if you wanted to use your own pictures? Where do you store them in this configuration? Would I have to get something like photobucket and host them there? What about the bandwidth limits using an external service.
Where do you host the javascript files?
To me this is nothing more than a small static interface. You may not have to know how to code but to add text and images it would be helpful to know where to insert that on the page.
Or is this just another code generator?

Well all files are stored in your own server, only the toolbar files coming from Zimplit server. There is no bandwidth limits if you host Zimplit in your own server. So toolbar files are coming from Zimplit server and this keeps your editing tool always updated.

I hope this solves your problem, please feel free to ask if you face any more road blocks.
