Hi all!!
Brand new member here.

Just punch in " Online Store" on your computer and watch it explode.

Looks like getting skinned is the easiest thing in the world to do.

Even better.... it is FREE!!! ( yay )

Just want to sell our product.
Process payment.
Print USPS labels.
E-mail back and forth with Customers.

I guess, that is about it.
I'd like some web-presence as well.

Godaddy seems to be pretty common, why can't I get their pricing?
I don't even want a free account.

It is already looking pretty scary out there.

Thanks!
Mark

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Just to clarify, you are asking for advice on how to set up an online store without getting screwed over?

Honestly, I didn't know what to ask.

I have been busy, this isn't as bad as I had feared.
Well, I want to do this as intelligently as possible, hopefully avoiding as many mistakes as possible.
I just checked out godaddy, now I am schooling up on shopify.
I guess I need a domain name from namecheap or godaddy...

Shopify is far more desirable.

Ah, this looks even better. Squarespace...

What would you say would be the most common mistakes I can make?

Thanks!!!

Well, as a Newbie, I better pony up the dollars to have some support.
I don't think I am ready to do this alone.
My many thanks!

You could check out DigitalOcean seeing as you're from the USA. Community support there is really good and they have detailed tutorials for a lot of things, making it a great resource. I have a VPS from them and it's proven to work well for running an IRCd (and I added an imageboard called 9ballchan).

With a VPS, you'd have to install things like Apache, PHP, MySQL, and all that yourself, but it's much more stable and reliable as you get your own IP and space - etc.
