Wordpress Unable to create directory in wp-content/uploads

Hi Team,

I just installed ubundu 11.04, I used wordpress and also downloaded themes but I have tried to upload the themes that time I am getting some errors.

The error information is "unable to create directory in wp-content/uploads"

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

I have changed the ownership of worrpress installed folder to www-data and finally the issue got resolved.
