I have a wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse, both connect via PS/2. I have the connection receiver and I tried resetting the mouse through it, but it doesn't work. I have also tried another PS/2 mouse that I have.

I don't know if USB Mice work, because I don't have any readily available, but I am using my iPod as a mouse right now, so USB mice should work.

But my Wireless PS/2 mouse was working before I locked my PC to go and get a drink but when I unlocked it, the mouse randomly stopped working. And restarting the computer didn't help either.

The only way to know for sure is if you find another ps/2 mouse and try it.

also this may sound like dumb help but did you unplug it and plug it back in?

Does anything show up in device manager about a mouse when it is plugged in?

I tried that, it didn't help, but for some reason, it works now after I've shut the computer down for the night...

Weird...

But thanks for the help anyways.
