I have just reinstalled Windows XP on my computer. Everything is working fine except I keep getting this error "There are no active mixer devies avalibale. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and other hardware, and then click Add Hardware. " I get this when I try to open my volume control. Please help me to figure out how to fix this.

Thanks

what is your sound card , it seems you need to install sound card drivers , if it is onboard sound post your motherboard make and model and people will be happy to post links to the driver

Looks like you need to reinstall your sound card driver. Use a disc if you have one or go to the website that made your sound card. For Example.. Go to google.co.uk and search up this.. Sound Blaster Audigy update. It would be one of the sites that comes up. All depends which sound card you have. =)

If you don't have your MB CD with them on for on-board graphics just goto Microsoft update and in the hardware section your driver should be there.
