Default Windows vista basic (32-bit) or Linux on a i7 920 help?

hi I recently built a pc using the "Bleeding Edge" i7 920 chip and I have had problems with Vista basic 32 bit Sp1 and whenever I try to update my system under vista it gives me the error Code80072F8F so I cant get updates for my system. It runs ok.. for the most part it will run good for a while when I try to open something the system stalls up 4 minutes when opening some programs. I was just wondering if my issue can be solved or can I go to linux and there will be better support...oh yes dont even get me started with win 7 beta...

You can try linux if you want. I don't know what if any support there is for the i7 chipset yet. But by all means do give it a try.

Linux Forever!

I thought you were a hispanic/african american? Who is the white guy in the pictures?
