If you lost your Nero program, you could download the trial or try other alternatives such as Alchohol 120% or XP Burner Pro ...
As for Linux, i like it and think its a good choice and alternative to Windows XP or any version at that, although you'll probably be using it for quite a while seeing as Windows Vista is not going to be released to the public and be widespread any time soon ...
By the way, what distro of Linux are you going to use dishdog ?

I was going to put federo core 4 on. i got my windows xp SP2 activated(http://computerforums.org/showthread.php?t=21364&page=3) so i'm going to suspend my installation of Linux till i go out and buy Nero 6 and then i'll do a dual boot to try it out.
