Hello- my monitor went out about 3 months ago so yesterday I put another one in. When I hooked up everything my desk top come up fine. My problem was that I didn't have a mouse to proceed. After getting a mouse from the store I hooked it up and I couldn't get past my screen saver. I am now getting a meassage about windows protection erroe-please restart. Press any key to continue. I can't do anything from there except cut off the computer manually. When I press any key nothing happens. What can I do or what has happened. We hooked up x-box line to the modem a few weeks back. Would that have anything to do with it. When I can get into safe mode no icons or anything comes up. I try f-10 & f-12 when maually restarting put I don;t know what to do from there.
