Windows Professional Serial Key

Iam trying to install Windows Pro on my laptop but it is asking me for a serial key. I picked up this software at a second hand store and it came with no key.
Where can I get one?? If I can?

There's the reason you don't buy used software as well.

Edit: On the bottom of your laptop there will be a serial key for the version of windows that came pre-installed on the machine. This won't work for the new CD you got, but at least you'll be able to get the original OS back on.

Windows keys are specific to the OS version you have. eg, if you have xp pro and try and use xp home key it wont work, the same applies to retail and OEM versions. There is a good little program called jellybean which will tell you the key of your current windows instalation, but the above still applies.
