Default Is Windows Movie Maker in Windows 7 GPU Accelerated?

I was monitoring my GPU usage with GPU-Z and as I'm exporting my video, my GPU is constantly above 70% usage. After I'm done exporting, the GPU goes back to idle (0-5%). Is this evidence that Windows movie maker could be gpu accelerated? I have a 2nd gen intel core i5-2310 with intel quicksync technology.

It's very possible. I need to research it a bit more, but I do know that it is definitely capable of using multicore CPUs as well. My Phenom II X6 is very often fully utilized when I make videos in it.
