Default Re: Windows 8 Pre-release

8 is designed for tables and touchscreens. When used as such it will work great. In terms of a "normal" computer changing to the other view (not metro as in the screenshot) will work.

Missing the start button will be a likely sore spot for most users, but just like in all other things Microsoft changes (Office 03 to 07) you will get used to it and become adjusted. Them might even add it back in - though I highly doubt it. Most of "us" will stick with 7 I'm sure, but for the average user (who make up the majority of PC purchases) it will be just another change they have to get used to and then it will be no big deal.

Regardless of how it's wrapped, most users really only need their OS to browse the web, check their mail, and get on facebook.....Win8 will is just a different wrapper put around the same idea and therefore will do the same things. It's really a non-issue.

Don't take life too seriously -- no one gets out alive. Plus, who wants to arrive to the hereafter in pristine condition wearing a suit and tie?
I want to slide in sideways, worn out, used up, hair a mess, clothes tattered, & screaming, "Whooo! What a ride!"
