Default winamp help

I have winamp and on the player there is two tabs one that says MONO and the other says STEREO.

I can put a Chack Mark in one OR the Other OR Both.

I put a Check in Both of them.

What are they for?

At first I was thinking that if you put a check in MONO it will play everything in MONO. And if you put a check in Stereo it will play everything in Stereo.

But then I thought why would anyone want to play in Mono?????????????

So I thought maybe it is for if something can't play right in stereo you can play it in MONO.

So if I put a check in Both like I did then am I right that if someing can't play in Stereo it will play in MONO automaticly??????????????

Or is this not what it is for?

Default Re: winamp help

Not sure about the ins and outs of winamp specifically, but there's some very good reasons why you might want the output in mono - recording to a mono output for instance, or running it through a sound system where you want the same sound coming out all the speakers.
