Default win7 random blue screens.

i get random blue screens that seem to happen after prolonged use of the computer or it being on. it does it all the time. at night while sleeping or while im useing it.

the blue screen stays up for about 3 or 4 seconds as the memory is dumped or something.

i dont know where to begin. its be happening for about 2 or 3 months now. the computer just restarts with safe mode options from an improper shut down.

Grab a copy of MemTest x86 and burn it to CD using another computer. Boot your system to the disc and let it run overnight. If you have any bad memory, this will help explain the BSODs, and is the first place I would turn.

Assuming your computer is not operating correctly, yes. If you can manage to burn it with your current system, thats fine also.

No, MemTest will only let you know if there is a problem with your RAM.
