Default win 7 pro upgrade

I have windows xp home and am thinking about upgrading to win 7 professional. With my current hardware would win be a good idea, is it faster than xp and 32 bit or 64 bit?

I wouldn't say it would be any faster. The only real advantage is that you would be able to take advantage of all your available memory. If you're not having any problems, stick with XP until you decide to upgrade to a faster machine.

I would not really recommend the upgrade. I would do a HDD wipe and with a fresh installation to get rid of any thing that you were not using.
