Default wi-fi on linux

hi, I just installed Mandriva linux 2007 but i can't get my wireless internet to work. I use a lan usb adapter(http://www.logiccomputerhouse.com/si...etail&id=11519 ).

wish i could help you but i had banged my head into the wall trying to get it to work.

WIFI + Linux = Pain in the ass

check on the manufacturers site if they do linux drivers for your model. i doubt it but its possible. there might be some third party ones if its a decent adapter.

There is a program called "NDISWRAPPER" that enables Linux to use Windows drivers (From what igather) for your wireless,I couldnt firgure it out though

I got nidswrapper working for my card with windows drivers but that was with BackTrack a different distro. But it should be nearly the same I would think. Search google with ndiswrapper and your distro.
