Windows XP, definetely.
1. of all, WIndows XP is the best, Vista is just esteticaly nice, and I think I will wait a bit before I get one.
2. Linux, it's for advanced programmers, and I'm just a beginner

I currently use WindowsXP SP2 and recently dual booted Ubuntu 7.10 but am having a problem installing a driver for my graphics card on it at the moment so am a bit frustrated, but I still plan on getting it to work fully with my hardware and see how I like it.

I had Windows XP SP3 for a long while now, so I'm giving up Windows for 2008's resolution. I'm going Sabayon 3.4f 64-bit.
