What to do without recovery disc, please help

Dear all,
I have a HP desktop (s3507-c) running Windows Vista. I have bought a Windows 7 on an oversea trip that turned out not to be genuine. The message “This copy of Windows is not genuine” appears.
Now, I am trying to go back to my Windows Vista. Unfortunately, I have not created the set of recovery disc. In this case, what can I do? I have to order the disc from HP, is that correct?
Any idea or suggestion would be appreciated. I just do not want to do anything illegally.

Format the hardrive and reinstall vista? and who did you buy the windows 7 off I'll be trying to give them a call might cost heaps international call, but if you bought it from an actual retailer I'll be giving them a call. Or trying and dodge buying that sort of stuff from overseas, you can be tricked or might not work on our machines
