Hi,

I recently restored my HP G62-340US Notebook and it has a TON of bloatware that I want to remove to increase my laptops speed.

I don't want ANYTHING that I don't need.

Attached are pictures of all of the programs in the Add/Remove Programs list.

Thanks for your help.

-Josh

Cyberlink is the company that HP got to write all the trouble shooting software. Cyberlink also writes the software to operate the onboard camera if it has one.

Getting rid of the add on goodies is normally a time consuming operation. But you do have to be careful uninstalling program from the add/remove programs panel. Remove a system file and you may find your baby doesn't want to boot up or it acts like it's lost its mind. (Been there, done that)

Another little "optimization", if you want to call it that, trick is to change what programs load upon boot. Start>run>msconfig.exe>startup tab. Probably has tons of programs there that really don't need to run until you open them.

I would also remove HP Games, HP adviser and HP quick launch.
I don't know exactly what programs are useful to you, but to me all from Cyberlink (as Ohsnapworld stated) can go as well.
