Weird network mapped drive issue

Title says it all.

What happens is that I've setup a laptop at work for it to connect to a remote share.

The laptop runs XP and the PC which hosts the share runs Windows 7.

What happens is, everytime I open the network drive, it will either open or fail. If I open it a second time, providing it opened the first time, it returns me an error message describing that the resource (something like that) is busy.

If I type the PC name in the Run command, I get denied, which is weird because it had access a second ago...help?

I tried the autodisconnect tweak but no go.

Any luck?

Sorry I can't help, I've never done remote share, sounds like one of the two are having compatibility problems  but like I say I don't have a clue lol

But this threads been here a few days and I've noticed it and was wondering did you solve it?

Actually, adding the "other file sharing protocol" or something like that found in the Add/Remove Windows components seems to have cleared it, but I'll keep the tutorial, because I'm near convinced it'll screw up again.
