Default Vista or XP?

I am going to get a new computer soon for gaming.

I was wondering what OS would be better for gaming.

XP or VISTA?

As long as your hardware supports it and you don't have any programs that you need to use that don't work on Vista, get Vista.

Yes! They should all work with Vista, I would recommend that you download DX10, too.

Cheers!

Go with Vista. There shouldn't be any issues with it and it has DX10.

As long as your hardware is good enough to run it, you should go with Vista. Microsoft will eventually stop supporting XP.

Well would you really use any of the features in Ultimate or not. Because if not the go for home premium.
I would say go for vista as if something isn't supported MS are always bring out updates to stop all compatibility issues.
