Default VirtualBox addiction.

im addicted to virtual machines. i currently have 2 running inside Win7 on sun virtualbox: Ubuntu and Kubuntu. I intend to also install XP and perhaps something like Solaris.

anyone else use Virtualbox?

I use it installed TinyXp in it to.
You should put more RAM in it then the recommended 192 I'd go for something like 512, or at least a couple hundred more megabytes then then the recommended.

i put in 1024MB when i make a new virtual machine. if im using the machine im not using the host, so i see no reason to minimise memory usage

I use it all the time to evaluate certain things, particularly new pieces of software. If it's buggy or I break something, I can just go back to a snapshot of the image that was working and everything is fine. I did use VMWare at college and would use it at home if it wasn't expensive, but VirtualBox is the best free VM software I've found to date.

ive been re-trialing ubuntu karmic koala, first two times i actually installed it onto my HDD, it went tits up on me with the 'minimal BASH-like line editing is supported' thing.
