A video programme

Good Evening,

I am wondering whether there is a programme i can obtain which will allow me to do something on my desktop (such as open a file and edit it) and it records it as a video file, so that i can replay the things i do to a group of people.

If I understand what you're saying, then Camtasia will work great for you. I've used it in the past for recording tutorials.
