user profile failed

hi i have a dell laptop on vista opertating system but everytime i try to enter my password to get to desktop i get this message user profile service service faailed the logon"
can anyone help

Edited my post, check the latest link in it.

From the link, seems like someone deleted the User Account profile from Windows Explorer or the terminal. Is anyone using the computer other than you?

Check out the link I posted in the second post in this thread (As I edited after you posted (Sorry)) but that should have a "Click here to fix" thing on the site. There's also some walkthrough directions on how to fix.
