usb help

Im tryin to connect any type of USB device to my usb ports on my tower but nothing will connect. Im trying to connect my ipod and usally it will say connected and pop up and currectly no actions is being done

Did you try to browse it in My Computer? By the way,what's your OS?

on my computer it doesnt show up

i ran running win xp

Did you install the driver for your USB Device? Also try to view device manager if the USB port is installed properly...

reboot and go to safe mode, if you see any red Xs or exclamation points , delete device and reboot, make sure your usb devices are not connected. What are you installg..a printer, scanner, card reader ? what ? what level is your sservice packs to, you should have at a minimum of sp1.

actually if you see a red X or exclamation point on a yellow triangle and you are unsure post it here first.
